As Label owner of Lovebreak Music and DJ/Producer, Nicole Otero is marking her sound in the dance music industry. It has been nine years since she has begun her DJ career playing all over the NYC area and overseas. As a native New Yorker with Ecuadorian and Bolivian roots, Nicole has been seriously involved with music since day one. Studying classical piano since the age of 6, and being influenced by all the dance music in the 80's and 90's, it was only a matter of time before she auditioned for The Music & Art & Performing Arts H.S. (also known as FAME) where she was accepted for voice and piano. Later Nicole decided to enroll in the Music Technology Program at NYU, where she studied sound engineering and electronic music. While studying sound production at NYU, Nicole started playing all the records she was buying and began a radio show at WNYU called "The Move". Within a couple of years of Djing out, Nicole was playing major NYC clubs and in Europe. During this time Nicole was working along side Jon Cutler at Distant Music were she was Label Manager for two years. With the experience she got from working at Distant, Nicole was inspired to someday start her own label where she could debut her music as a producer and song writer. That day finally arrived with her first release on Lovebreak called "Sunshine Song"."Sunshine Song" caused quite a stir when played by The Scissor Sisters on Pete Tong's show on Radio 1 and was quickly signed to the prominent UK label CR2 Records.Nicole currently has her debut EP "Lovebreak Series I" out on digital online stores such as Itunes, Traxsource.com and Amazon.com. Nicole Otero has established herself as a female DJ/Producer/Song Writer in a very male dominated industry so expect more from this budding artist.
